Favorite Lectures

Lecture #1: Egalitarianism
This lecture was very informative to me as Professor Brady explained the many forms of oppression. Professor Brady explained disenfranchisement and used the example of a town beach and how people not from the area are not allowed/accepted. Another concept presented in the lecture was the four main institutions that were government, religion, family, and education and that this is where inequality often takes place. This concept i thought was really important for people to know to stop the inequality in society.

Lecture #2: Love Poems
In this lecture, we read out the song lyrics and poems aloud in class and talked about love in the fishbowl. My favorite part of this lecture was during the fishbowl where people gave their ideas about what true love is. I enjoyed this because i got to compare my feelings of love with others and it made me rethink my feelings to see if i was shallow in my thinking or if i really thought deeply about love.

Lecture #3: Outside
The lecture outside was easily my favorite lecture. This is due to the fact that we got to be outside on a beautiful day with the breeze flowing and the sun out. Also, I got to be able to sit on the bench throughout the lecture and we got to able to be right in front of the fountain.
